Babérliget is simply the epitome of rural charm. Fragrant lavender shrubs and a herbal garden remind us of Provence and its magic, no wonder that the Curia is a truly unique wedding site. An obvious choice for vintage and rural style weddings: the garden is shaded by trees and the row of chestnut trees provides an intimate setting for the ceremony and a small dinner. Babérliget is also able to host bigger weddings, as the newly built pavilion, inspired by the famous designer, Philippe Starck, makes it possible for us to seat up to 150 guests at the same time. The Curia and the House by the Lake has rooming capacity for 25 guests, but of course we are happy to help accommodate the rest of the guests, if needed, in nearby guest houses.
At Babérliget we follow the farm-to-table concept. Due to our love of Somogy and its products, we source most of the ingredients we use in the kitchen from nearby producers, emphasising local tastes in our wedding menus. Fundamentally Babérliget is a fusion between Italian and Hungarian cuisine, more closely between Lombardy and Somogy.
